THE RULING New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened more fire on the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings over his consistent allegations of corruption against government officials, including the sitting President, Mr. John Agyekum Kufuor. The NPP has also delved into the manifesto of the NDC, describing it as a document that lacks original ideas and has a sense of inertia that presage how they (NDC) will approach


President John Agyekum Kufuor has called for calm in the Asante-Akim North Constituency, as the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) looked for a candidate to fill the vacant seat of the late Finance Minister, Mr Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu. The Minister, he said, was such a good person and that it would be unfortunate to allow the search for his successor to be marred by any unhealthy power struggle, accusations and confusion. Whatever has happened, sad and painful as it was, should be accepted in good faith.

Gov't Returns Ga Lands To Owners   (Ghanaian Time-Ghana,09/10/2008)
